Jeff Gonyo, Managing Director

 

Jeff has more than 20 years of successful private equity investment experience generating a career realized 63% IRR and a 5.2x cash-on-cash return.  Prior to establishing Geneva Glen Capital in 2008, Jeff was a Managing Director for over ten years with Wind Point Partners where he was a general partner in four funds that grew progressively in size to over $2 billion today in total capital under management.  Before Wind Point, Jeff was a Vice President of Heller Investments and an investment professional with GTCR.  Prior to joining GTCR, Jeff was a Senior Strategy Consultant with Ernst & Young and an Accountant with Price Waterhouse. 

 

Throughout his private equity career, Jeff has been an active board member of more than a dozen companies and led control investments which have completed over 130+ add-on acquisitions. He has invested in and managed portfolio companies across numerous industry investment cycles in traditional buyouts, recapitalizations, take-privates, industry consolidations, and turn-around investments. His prior investments have spanned companies that operate in a myriad of industries, including business services, consumer products, healthcare, industrial manufacturing and publishing.  Jeff has a BS with honors in Accounting from Indiana University and MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.  Jeff is a Certified Public Accountant, a member of the Association for Corporate Growth and serves on the Board of Directors of Coinmach Service Corporation

 

Jeff lives in Glenview, Illinois with his wife Peg, son Nathan and daughter Elena.

 

Adam Schecter, Managing Director

 

Adam has more than 21 years of investment and transactional experience.   His recent positions include Managing Partner of WHI Capital Partners, the private equity arm of William Harris Investors, Inc. (the family office of Irving Harris that manages in excess of $1 billion) where he led and managed investments in the niche manufacturing, healthcare services and environmental and recycling markets.  He is a current board member of Clinical Resource Network, LLC and Veridiam, Inc.   Before joining WHI, Adam was a partner with New World Ventures and a senior team member of The Pritzker Group, affiliated private equity investment groups that makes minority investments in early stage information technology companies and controlling investments in middle market manufacturing and industrial companies.  Prior to The Pritzker Group and New World Ventures, Adam was an executive with Baxter Healthcare Corporation where he oversaw the Cardiovascular Group’s joint ventures, M&A activity and venture related investments.

 

Previously, Adam was a senior corporate attorney with Katten Muchin & Zavis in Chicago where his practice focused on leveraged buyout transactions, securities matters and general corporate representation for middle market companies. Before Katten Muchin & Zavis, Adam was a Senior Accountant with Arthur Andersen & Co. in Washington D.C. where he led in-depth financial due diligence and accounting systems reviews for M&A transactions. Over the course of Adam’s career, he has been involved with over a hundred transactions and businesses in his capacity as investor, manager and advisor.  Adam has a BS with honors in Accounting from the University of Virginia’s McIntire School of Commerce and a JD, magna cum laude, from the University of Illinois College of Law.  Adam is a Certified Public Accountant and is a member of the Association for Corporate Growth and serves on the Board of Directors of the Illinois Holocaust Museum and Education Center. 

 

Adam lives in Deerfield, Illinois with his wife Suzy and three sons, Jay, Sam, and Nate.

 

Tom Wuellner, Vice President

 

Prior to joining GGC, Tom worked at Wind Point Partners, a middle-market private equity firm with $2 billion capital under management.  At Wind Point, Tom was responsible for evaluating and executing new investments and assisting portfolio company executives with their key strategic initiatives.  Previously, Tom worked in A.G. Edwards’ investment banking division providing advisory and capital raising services to companies in the real estate industry. 

 

Tom has a BSBA with honors in finance and accounting from Washington University in St. Louis and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

 

Tom lives in Evanston, Illinois with his wife Sarah and daughter Mia.
